Reiki
What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese word. Rei (pronounced "ray"), and Ki (pronounced "kee") used together means "Universal Life Force Energy."
Reiki is a "scientific method of healing" that originated in India and/or Tibet. Although not widely known or used in the Western world, it is over 3000 years old and quickly becoming one of the better known healing art forms.
How does it work? The Reiki practitioner transfers a positive energy into the receiver without passing any of their own positive or negative energy to them. The person receiving Reiki may have a much greater clarity of thought, intuition, or feel more relaxed. The transferring of this energy is always beneficial to the receiver.
Since Reiki is not a religion or belief system, the Reiki practitioner does not affect the receiver's thoughts or beliefs. Reiki cannot be forced upon anyone not accepting it. The receiver of Reiki energy must be willing to accept the energy transfer.

| Even though there is always a healing effect given, the Reiki practitioner cannot ensure its effects are directed to a specific spot in the body. Reiki energy flows in just the right amount to the area or areas where it is needed most, and does just what is needed to be done for you to experience wholeness. While each person experiences this process in an individual, unique way, what seems to be consistent is the sense of peace and well- being, and frequently, a noticeable easing of pain. | ||

Karen Price has been a Usui Reiki Practitioner since 1997, and Usui Reiki Master/Teacher since 1998, receiving her training from Peggy A. Miller, Reiki Master/Teacher. Peggy received her Reiki Mastership in Usui Reiki from Dr. Robert Walden. Reiki sessions can be scheduled with Karen any time: days, evenings, or weekends when she is in Indiana.
